Global Peace 2030’s Mr. KC Visits Kenya, Pushes for Lasting Peace

Nairobi, Kenya (TOE) – The President of the Europe Peace Foundation and initiator of the Global Peace 2030 agenda, Mr. Hum KC Sappan, visited Kenya from 11–13 June 2026 as part of his Global Peace 2030 World Tour.
During his visit, he met with senior government officials in Nairobi, including Senators of the Parliament of Kenya, the Governor of Nairobi City County, and leaders of various organizations working in the fields of human rights, equality, education, health, and peace.

During meetings with government officials and stakeholders, President Mr. KC expressed concern regarding violence and conflict in Kenya and called upon all leaders to work together to end all forms of violence and strengthen efforts toward achieving lasting peace in the country by 2030.
He emphasized that peace is the only sustainable solution for Kenya and encouraged the Government to strengthen peacebuilding efforts and work toward making Kenya a Country of Peace by 2030 under the Global Peace 2030 vision. He noted that Kenya plays an important regional role in promoting peace while neighboring countries continue to experience war and conflict.
President Mr. KC highlighted that Kenya shares borders with Somalia, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Uganda, where security challenges and armed conflicts continue to affect regional stability. He stated that instability in neighboring countries may also influence surrounding nations and emphasized that continued efforts to prevent violence and strengthen peace and security remain important for Kenya and the wider region.

In addition, he noted that issues relating to human rights and gender-based violence require continued attention. At the same time, he acknowledged that Kenya has made significant progress in peace, stability, and development. He emphasized that the future of the country remains in the hands of its people and institutions and described Kenya as a nation rich in culture, resources, and human potential.
President Mr. KC also encouraged the Government to ensure that the next general election is conducted fairly and peacefully and to continue addressing the aspirations of the people, including lasting peace, stability, economic development, accessible healthcare, and quality education. These priorities are also reflected in the Global Peace 2030 agenda.
Furthermore, during his visit, President Mr. KC requested the Government to express its support for the Global Peace 2030 Initiative. He stated that such support would demonstrate Kenya’s continued commitment to advancing peace at both national and international levels.

The newly appointed Kenya Representation Office of the Europe Peace Foundation, represented by Mr. Michael Joseph Bole, also expressed concern regarding local violence and called for stronger commitment to peace efforts in the country. He further stated that organizations operating in Kenya should prioritize meaningful impact and effective use of resources to support peace and development initiatives.
President Mr. KC was accompanied during the visit by the Head of the Representation Office in Kenya, Mr. Michael Joseph Bole; Deputy Head, Mrs. Zilpha Samoei; Secretary, Mr. Joab Mandela; and Member, Ms. Brenda Odoyo.
