21 killed in bombing at Nigerian shopping mall

Police spokesman Frank Mba says Wednesday\’s blast at Emab Plaza injured at least 17, and he told reporters an arrest had been made in connection with the attack.
Government spokesman Mike Omeri confirmed the blast was the result of a bomb.
No claims of responsibility have been reported.
Islamist militant group Boko Haram has bombed targets across northern Nigeria in recent years.
Abuja has been hit by a series of deadly bombings in recent months.
In April, more than 70 people were killed by a bomb blast at a bus terminal on the outskirts of Abuja.
The Islamist militant group Boko Haram claimed responsibility for that attack. The group has killed thousands of people during its five-year insurgency to establish a hardline Muslim state in northern Nigeria.
The group also carried out a deadly car bomb attack on the United Nations building in the Nigerian capital in 2011.
It has become a source of growing international concern since the recent abduction of more than 200 girls from a school in northern Nigeria.
In May, a car bombing at a bus station in the capital left 18 people dead.
