At least 12 people, including seven women, have been killed in a roadside bomb explosion in eastern Afghanistan, officials say.
A government spokesman said the blast took place early Saturday when the civilian victims, including seven women, were traveling in two cars in the Giro district of eastern Ghazni province.
No one has taken responsibility for the attack.
Roadside bombs are a major threat to security forces and civilians across Afghanistan.
