Taliban suicide car bomb kills 13 in Afghanistan

At least 13 people, among them the two perpetrators, were killed and scores of others were injured Thursday in a Taliban suicide attack in Afghanistan\’s relatively peaceful province of Panjsher.
More than 20 other people were wounded in the blast, some critically. The four attackers were also killed.
The suicide bombing took place near the border with Parwan province.
The mountainous province of Panjshir has been relatively peaceful and was known as an anti-Taliban stronghold during the Islamist group\’s rule over Afghanistan that ended in 2001, with the U.S.-led invasion and toppling of the government.
