Wreckage from the plane The crash is said to have resulted from engine failure.
A Libyan military plane has crashed just outside the Tunisian capital, killing all 11 people on board.
Tunisian officials say six crew members were killed, along with three doctors and two patients who were on the air force medical plane.
Authorities believe engine failure was responsible for bringing down the Soviet-built, twin-propeller Antonov-26.
The plane crashed into a field in a sparsely populated area in the Grombalia region, about 40 kilometers southeast of Tunis.
There is no word on the identity of the medical patients, or why they were headed to Tunisia, though Libyans often seek medical treatment there.
