The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has appointed Jason Clark, an executive with broad experience in the finance and audit sector, as Head of Controlling and Program Finance, a new department that combines the controlling and program finance functions.
Clark joins the Global Fund from RWE AG, one of Europe’s largest electricity and gas companies, where he has acted as Director, Finance and Controlling for the last 10 years, leading a team of about 300 people. He was a member of the senior leadership team and has driven performance improvements through sponsorship of key efficiency and transformation programs.
A UK national, Clark has also held positions in PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Manager and as an Associate Chartered Accountant with Pannell Kerr Forster in Sheffield. In the energy industry, he has occupied the posts of Internal Auditor, Retail Electricity Financial Controller and Energy Trading Finance Manager.
He will report to Daniel Camus, Chief Financial Officer.
“Jason is a thoughtful and engaging individual with a genuine passion for leading complex finance organizations,” Camus said. “He is a tremendous addition to our team.”
The establishment of the Controlling and Program Finance department is part of organizational changes in the Finance Division.
“These changes grow out of our goal to build a robust, modern, and sustainable division, with a highly professional team, fluid financial core processes and state-of-the-art automated systems,” Camus said.
