At least 41 people have been killed and 33 others injured in a bus crash west of the Kenyan capital Nairobi, police and Kenyan Red Cross officials say.
More than 30 others were injured in the accident, which happened around 2:00 a.m. Thursday about 15 kilometers from the town of Narok.
The Red Cross said the bus, bound for the town of Homa Bay, careened off the road and rolled into a valley. Photos showed the roof of the vehicle was completely ripped off in the crash.
Kenyan police said the driver apparently failed to negotiate a sharp turn.
