Taliban suicide attack on Afghanistan police station kills 11

Taliban fighters have killed at least 11 people and wounded 22 in a suicide bomb attack and gun battle at a police station in Afghanistan\’s eastern Jalalabad city, officials said.
The assault early Thursday happened in Jalalabad near the provincial governor\’s house, and comes two weeks before Afghanistan holds its presidential election.
Officials said the attack began with a suicide bombing outside the station and continued for several hours as Afghan security forces battled Taliban gunmen.
Deputy Interior Minister Mohammed Ayub Solangi said it ended with all seven gunmen dead.
A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack.
