Abe’s Envoy Gives Letter to Xi in Bid to Ease Japan-China Spat Fri, 25 Jan, 2013

An envoy from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe delivered a letter to Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping as Asia’s two biggest economies face an escalating territorial dispute.

Natsuo Yamaguchi, leader of Abe’s coalition partner New Komeito Party, handed the letter to Xi during a meeting at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing today, according to a pool report from the meeting.
